The James Madison University chapter of the international Kappa Pi Honors Art & Art History Co-Ed Fraternity strives to unite fellow student artists in the growing creative culture of Harrisonburg, VA. As an artist community, we participate and organize numerous events that work towards creating a fellowship between artists as well as benefitting and cultivating an environment conducive for personal artistic growth and education.
As an honors fraternity, we require a minimum overall grade point average of 2.5 and an overall art average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). Each semester, we provide many opportunities for community, outreach, and service through events and artist talks. Our chapter is on a point system which requires our active brothers to achieve a minimum of 20 points per semester. This is done through attending events, art openings, and community service.
